Best Options for Vegan Fast Food

Some of our favorite vegan fast food choices include the Beyond Burger at Carl’s Jr., the black bean burger at Wendy’s, and the veggie wrap at Subway. Chipotle also has a great vegan burrito option, and Starbucks offers a variety of vegan-friendly drinks and snacks.

So if you’re on the go and need a quick and easy vegan meal, there are plenty of great options available at your favorite fast-food restaurant

And if you’re vegan and eat out a lot, there are even more fast-food restaurants that offer vegan options. Check out our list below!

A&W Canada: offers the Beyond Burger as a vegan option on their menu. In addition, they also have an extensive list of other veggie-based burger options to choose from on their menu.

Arby’s offers vegan jerky at select locations; check with your local Arby’s to see if they carry this product. Also ask about their dipping sauces, as some are vegan (like the Horsey Sauce and the Jamocha shakes).

Burgerville offers a tasty french fry option for vegans. They’re cooked in 100% canola oil and include a special seasoning to ensure they’re vegan. Their black bean burger is also vegan.

In addition, Chipotle offers chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo as vegan-friendly options on their menu. All of these items are available at the condiment bar so you can add however much or little of each that you’d like.

Dairy Queen offers a vegan smoothie and an always-vegan french fry option for those looking for vegan fast food options. Dairy Queen is also somewhat unique in that they offer two flavors of veggie burgers – one grill burger, and one flame-grilled burger (the grill burger is vegan and the flame-grilled burger isn’t).

Domino’s now offers vegan cheese as an option for those who would like to enjoy a vegan pizza. The topping options aren’t usually vegan (they include pineapple, chicken, and meatballs), but you can order a pizza with just cheese!

KFC offers a vegan chicken option – the Gardein chick’n pattie. It’s not on the menu, but it can be specially ordered. The best way to do this is by checking out their nutrition calculator and looking at the menu ingredients (vegan items include veggie rice and beans), then writing down what you would like for your meal.

Pizza offers a vegan-friendly pizza with vegan cheese by default! Just ask them to make it without cheese on top, and don’t forget to tell them which toppings you’d like included.

Additionally, Subway is always worth mentioning when discussing fast food options. They offer the Veggie Delight sandwich with just a few modifications, and it’s a go-to option for many vegans.

Wendy’s offers a vegan black bean burger on their menu. Be sure to order without cheese or spicy chipotle sauce when ordering this burger, as both contain animal ingredients.
