When you are expecting your first baby, you are probably going to want to make healthy baby food for him or her. This might sound easy enough, but it can be a little confusing. There are so many different varieties and ingredients on the market that it can be overwhelming to your newborn. Fortunately, making healthy baby food is actually pretty easy.
Decide The Type Of Purees You Want To Use
The first thing you will need to decide on for your healthy baby food recipes is what kind of purees you want to use. You can use either a blender or an immersion blender, or even make your own. Simply toss in a healthy puree into each container.
For example, you could make a small batch of fresh spinach purees, throw in some baby carrots and an apple and add some honey. Mix together, heat it up, and your little one has a healthy meal! I like to use a little bit of skim milk to add some additional moisture.

When it comes to sweet potatoes, there are two ways you can go. You can either buy them already grated, or you can puree them. A lot of times you will be able to find both grated and pureed sweet potato in a store near you. If you can’t find any at your local grocery store, or you are looking for a healthier option, then you might try going to a health food store and looking for a sweet potato smoothie.

Now for green beans, they too can be pureed, or you can buy them already grated. Both can be used for meals as well. The only difference is that the green beans have a much sweeter taste than the squash or sweet potato. Again, both can be used for baby meals. However, you will find that green beans tend to lose a little bit of their nutrients when they go through the grinder. This may be okay for some people, but others will find that they need more of the vitamins and minerals found in the other foods to make up for the loss.
Finally, what about ice cube trays? Most people probably think that they are completely pointless. In reality, they can be one of the most important things that you can introduce into your baby’s diet. They have the ability to keep certain nutrients in your child’s system for up to 30 minutes! By using an ice cube tray frequently, you will find that your baby will be much healthier and have a much easier time adjusting to his new diet.
